I'm a product engineer who enjoys identifying problems, exploring ways to solve them, and building solutions myself.
When something sparks my curiosity, I tend to build it. I learn by writing code, and I love seeing a vague idea take shape as something people can actually use.
After more than a decade of building products across different environments, I've learned that working software and a good product aren't necessarily the same thing. What makes a product good goes beyond technical quality. It also depends on understanding the user's problem, the business context, and the perspectives of the people building it.
Rather than limiting myself to a particular role or technology, I like being involved throughout the process, from identifying and defining problems to designing and building solutions. Building interfaces, designing system architecture, and breaking down complex problems into work a team can build on all feel like parts of the same process to me.
There's value in building on what already works, but I'm more drawn to things shaped by someone's peculiar tastes, stubborn ideas, and even the mistakes they make out of passion. A product doesn't have to be perfect to be compelling. When it reflects the perspective of the person who made it, it has a character of its own.
I've always been drawn to art and architecture. To me, architecture is where artistic sensibility and engineering meet, and I think great software has something in common with it.
“since feeling is first / who pays any attention / to the syntax of things / will never wholly kiss you”
These lines from E. E. Cummings's poem since feeling is first capture a philosophy I try to live by.

Storybook
- CSF: Run csf-tools on OXC instead of Babel
Replaced Babel and Recast with OXC and MagicString in csf-tools.
- Addon-docs: Skip re-parsing untransformed stories in the CSF plugin
Eliminated redundant parsing for stories that don't require transformation.
- Core: Let one-shot commands exit while open-service waits for sync replies
Fixed an issue where pending reply timers prevented one-shot CLI commands from exiting.
I documented the process in Replacing Babel with OXC in Storybook.
